I see axle prices all over the place and most of the time they are either cheap 14bff with 3.73s or expensive sets with 5.13s. I need to know what you guys think a set of 10bolt front and rear with 4.10s in good working order could fetch? I've been toying with selling mine out of my K10 first to come up with cash for the 3/4tons. I know it would be easy for me to just get a 14bff rear and 3/4ton outers for the front but I'm thinking it will be easier to sell the 4.10 bolt rear as a set with the front axle. :dunno:

Ask as much as you can within reason and expect to be talked down. 4.10 10b sets are not common at all and not everyone needs 3/4 or 1 tons. Buying a pregeared set of 10b for $3-400 is cheaper than paying to have them regeared.

On that note, contact "Wilpetty" and work out a deal and get them shipped down to him. Sounds to most like he has 3.08s or worse and is looking to regear.

Id ask $300-350 and let some one talk me down to $275 so they think they're getting a deal.
Like 496truck said, some one will jump on it because it would be a lot cheaper than re-gearing there gears.

Keep in mind front is worth more than rear because it can be mated to a 14 bolt SF or FF with 4.10. If it was a '89-'91 Sub diff with 4.10s, it'd be worth $50-$100 more due to 30 spline center. Here in SoCal, those axles together are worth $250.
I paid $250 for a decent pair from a '90 as most as have broken spider gears.
Do your buyer a favor and check them out COMPLETELY. I looked at 7, yes 7, axles before I bought these and I even had to fix my current diffs because I got tired of looking. Wasted alot of gas and time based on "ran good in my truck" seller bullsh*t.

I know of two interested buyers but I havent given them a price or a go yet since they are still installed on my truck in the driveway. If Im gonna pull the trigger on this I need to get some stands made up. Funds are tight while Im buying this house so Im trying to work it out before taking this apart.

I wouldn't take anything less than 300 if they are truly ready to go. There are so many guys actually considering paying 800 plus to get there half tons regeared. Start around 350-375 and work with the "interested buyers" from there.

And BTW I snagged a set of 3/4 tons for 200 with 4.10s. The front needed a few repairs tho.

I paid $300 for an 8-lug 10b, with an eaton Posi, and cheapo 4340 shafts.

Run of the mill 4.10, 10b sets go for $300-$400 around here.
I would say 4 and take 3.

I'd buy 'em in a friggin heart beat if I knew how to get them halfway across the country to me:confused: Every set I've found has been far enough away that between buying and shipping I could almost regear mine:doah: No one around here has them for sale:dunno: Must be a coastal thing:rolleyes:
