I'm using the Dupli-color bed coating kit.How much should I expect to use on an 8ft.bed? I just scored 2 kits(containing 1 gallon and 1 roller kit),4 1-gallon cans and 4 roller kits for the whopping price of...Free.:saweet:A total of 6 gallons. I figured I'd have enough to fully coat at least 2 trucks inside and out!

I'm going to do the inside of the cab first so I can put in the K-5 buckets and custom console.I'll do the rest of ot when I'm done hauling wood for the winter.Plans are to weld in new rockers/cab corners this spring then coat, along with the inner fenderwells front and rear, and probably the bottom 12-18in. of the truck all the way around and bombing the rest Cat yellow.

What do you think about doing my wagon-wheel rims with the bed coating.Would it hold up or would it just look like crap?

I did about 3 coats of that stuff on the front of my cab. **** is already starting to chip off.

I used the 3M stuff, did a GREAT job of prepping the floor, and it still broke loose fairly easily. Definitely not near the toughness of the pro-type stuff. I believe I used ~1 gallon of it to line the interior of my Blazer, through two or three coats.

It held up ok I guess, and for ~$50 it was worth it. But if I were to do it again I'd buy some better quality stuff.

I tried some of the Duplicolor stuff on a tool box I have, it did NOT  hold up at all. I spent alot of time on prep and followed the instructions to the letter and it is not a good product IMHO. I would sell what you have and spend a few dollars on a better product, that's my $.02 at least.
