Have to do an underhaul on a 366 and i was wondering how much this engine weighs? My engine stand says its a 1000 lb stand, do i need to find another stand or will mine work fine? Thanks

itl work, 1000lbs is better than the 750lb stand i have my 454 on right now.

I seem to remember 650 lbs for some reason. Maybe that's an all-iron BBC, or a Ford 460, or maybe just the weight of that one planet-shaped woman I see buying hundreds of boxes of lo-fat cookies when I'm in the grocery store.

yeah, 600-650... prolly depending on how much aluminum bling there is. I remember that number because Petersens had a "big engine comparison" chart once, and I remember how crazy it was that a 5.9L cummins was just over 1000 pounds, while a 454 was "just" 650. Cummins rocks, but that is one heavy mofo.
