well I dont know for sure.. but the big question is the condition.. is it running in 100% working order? that would cost more... also whom is selling it? junkyard? so basically if it is a junkyard they may think they have gold like a front d60... or if it is someone that rolled a vehicle and getting out of wheeling...... gotta play it by ear if it is a face to face deal as to feel out the person....

Like RootBreaker said, it depends on condition. I don't think I would pay more that $500-550 for one in good condition. I've seen a few for less.

also I have heard of people paying $75-$150 for a non working non complete and ended up with $300-$400 total into one...

Good idea. My plan has always been to pick up a used winch and replace the cable with synth. rope, so that's what I would do.
