How much goes in my radiator?

I recently pulled my radiator to have it flushed and fix a few cracks. I disconected the overflow container to use the connections for hooking up to something else. About how much fluid should i put in my radiator?

79 Jimmy, 5" lift 35 M/T with a 383 puttin out 400hp and 450lb/ft. Locked front and back.

About 1 to 1.5 Gallons.
About 4 to 6 Quarts.

Would you sugest a 50/50 mixture of water/anti-freeze?

Only if you will be were it gets really cold !
Try to guess the coldess it will be and give your guess an extra 10 degree's.
When I lived in Seattle winters got to 20 degs once every 10 years, so I figured it may get to 10 degs.
Depending on your flavor of Anti- frez, usually on the back it will tell ya what ratio will egual what degs.
More is always better ?
