How much is to much

I am thinking I am gonna do an LS swap in my k5. I am leaning toward the 6.0 lq9 engine. I am finding some with around 125000 - 150000 miles on them but not having much luck finding any under 100k. I've heard they can last over 300k but I am not an optimist. Hard to be when I have been told since I was young that my last name is French for bad luck! Usually after getting picked up from the police station for something dumb. Anyway, prices range from 1500 to 2000 for the engine with the harness and all. So for that price range, what is a good mileage to call my cutoff?

For that price in my area, I wouldn't want anything with more than 150k.
