I have a 78 k5 Cheyenne...I bought it already lifted but leaf springs bushings and shocks have seen better days for sure and all need replacing...badly...I have no idea how much suspension lift is on it ...I think I was told 4 inches ...but I ain't sure how much do you need to not rub ...I Damm sure don't wanna order the wrong kit ...after just blowing a bunch a cash on having the trans done..tried to post in the suspension sub section but have insufficient privileges

Need more info. Wide tires with alot of wheel offset will need more lift than narrower wheels and tire combo.
Popular combo for most 35s would be 4" easy ride springs, easy inch (add a leaf), and a 1" body lift if needed. With a 35-12.50 and a 8" wheel and the right offset they shouldn't rub.

This is what I got on now ...I have no clue what size rim it is other then there's 35s on it now ...I don't think there is any body lift it was never mentioned nor how much suspension lift

These are on it I'm not sure of the rim sizes either ..I got into this over my head and know Damm near nothing bout fixing this thing up

Can't figure out how to post pics of it

If using a phone, tap on "upload file or photo" below the responce box, the next screen should say choose file, click that, choose camera, take pics. Then choose attach all pics before you post reply

Grab a pic of the front wheels. 1 with wheels straight and 1 with wheel at full turn each way. I'll respond when I'm able.

As Chris is pointing out, if there is a rub point, its most likely going to do it on the front wheels as a start, even with the 4 inch lift, especially on the lowest corners of the wheel arches. The rear shackle on the front axle causes enough pivoting to move back a and forth some when you are doing off camber angles and it's enough to where you'll get your tires into the corners of the wheel well. Sometimes you either need a lift on the body for extra clearance, or a little massaging with a sawz-all... (or some combination of efforts to get the errant issues resolved)

Lot's of factors can affect that (such as overload springs, tire size and width, wheel width, worn out bushings and body mounts.

Everyone's just asking with the hopes of being able to post helpful comments so have a seat and listen to the folks here. there is a ton of good advice coming down the pipe line if you can get the info needed.

I have 35's on stock wheels, 4" lift, no body lift.

The fronts just barely rub, occasionally when turned. Not even enough to trim, it just rubs the paint off the fender lip a little.

I'll try and post pics of front tomm when I get back home ...I'm was figuring there was some way to measure from the ground to the spring or something.....I'm just want to replace what's in there with new stuff..it's beat up pretty good on the springs shackles and shocks...

You can measure from the bumpstop bracket to the top of the axle perch/tube. @Stephen from ORD knows what it is stock. Just cant remember off the top of my head.

If you go to the off-road design website you can get complete kits that are set up real nice. All quality parts and awesome customer service.
