How Much Pressure Should A York Build?

do a search . a few weeks ago some one asked how to do this in hear and there were sites posted with all info.

How to do what? Rebuild a york? I know how to run regulators and oilers if I want to, but if I don't have a compressor to run the system I'm a little SOL.

do a sherch under york and go to the onboard air one 3-4 one down its there on the web sites listed. with kits and brackets also

These should be very capable. They put out around 250-300 psi in the air conditioning systems they came out of. I've seen them get up to around 500 psi if there is a problem with the system.

I have OBA with a 210 York and i had trouble keeping the 300 PSI hose from the compressor to the one way valve from blowing apart, now i have a length of 500 PSI hose in that particular place and everything is fine. I have my pressure switch set to 90 PSI turn on and 125 PSI turn off. :thumb:

Re-hijack:

I pulled a york 210 off a chevy lunch truck with a 350 and I got the bracket to go with it, and planned on installing that. But a few months back this thread came up:

The next time I was at the JY, I found a compressor just like that one on a Cherokee, so I nabbed it. 'Bout $10 BTW, 1/2 price P-n-P weekend. I am wondering if anyone knows how these compare to a york, other than the fact that they are only 8 cfm as opposed to the york 10 cfm. I like that they are smaller and looks like like they would be easier to fit in the engine bay, especially with the extra alt. for mobile welding I plan to add (one day). Anyway, anyone got any more info about these other comps.?

Saw a couple on eBay off an IHC starting at $.99 with no reserve.
