Hey guys, its that time. For all of you that have already done the cage, how much tube did you use. I'm thinking in the 100-120 feet range. I like the cages with alot of tube work. Pics would be great too, if you got em. Here's my platform

Will the cage cover just the front two seats or will it cover the rear seats too?

A cage with "a lot" of tube work will be closer to 200', my chassis has ~170' but its only a two seater.

front and rear, don't think I want enough room for pass in rear, just enough for gear. Thanks

Wow, rdn2blazer that look great, something along those lines, no pun, just with out it going all the way back. About how much do you have in the rear? Again very nice work

I have about 170' in mine. But, I wanted to cover the rear pass. area too. Not a great pic, but you get the idea. Seats are bolted to cage as well.

What?!?.....Nobody adds any "extra" for bending mistakes?? :yikes:

Guess I'm the only one who's ruined an expensive stick of tubing.

Greg I know what your talkin about there I screwed up the first two stinger sections befor I got it right. And thats the stuff im talking about, the things you need to know to prepair for. Alright flame on but here is my rough idea. I'm thinking 150 feet

Sorry for the hijack, formud did you lower the front hood line? what did you do with the radiator, tilt it back?

It still had the body lift blocks on the front end. So all I did was take them out. Under the cab it's all attached with the cage (No blocks) So theres no way of lowering it. I kinda like the look.:D

If you start with your long pieces first even if you do make a mistake you can usually use most of it for the shorter brace area's and stuff. I used the Bend-Tech EZ software which helped cut down on 'misbends'...

I did have one piece that just didn't turn out how I wanted, but that was a GIGO problem. I cut it up and used most of it for bracing, and saved about a 4 foot leftover which eventually became part of my doubler X-member.

I have about 110 feet into my cage...
