Hey guys well im about ready to get this doubler in my pos, but im hung up on which route to take when it comes to the crossmember. i have tons of pics and ideas and id really like to build it myself but i dont quite trust my welding skills :o lol. im leaning towards the idea of using 2 stock crossmembers and notching the front 1 to clear the front d-shaft because theres minimum welding required on that 1. my question is how much do you think is a reasonable price for a shop to build me a crossmember? ive got a local shop saying he could do me 1 for starting out @ 200 bucks just all depends on the materials he has to use. is that a good price? thanks again guys

$200 doesnt sound bad to have a shop make something for you. Even if it runs a little higher than that, you cant beat custom made.

I have done several Toyota crossmembers for guys. 200 doesn't sound too bad. I would not include any type of skidplate for that price but for the crossmembers that sounds alright.

Skidplate would add about 50 bucks overall to the cost. Depending on if it needed bent or if it was straight
