Hey everyone. Just picked up my first K5 and it is completely stock, I want to run 38 ish tires. Can you all tell me how much lift i may need. I have a sawzall, so trimming is a good thing for me. Any ideas how i should lift it? I don't really want to flex that much, just be pretty good in the mud. I have the 12 bolt 10 bolt on mine, should i change to 14FF and a 44 for 38's? Any help would be great! Thanks

You can run 38's with 4" lift if you really like the sawzall! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

BTW I wouldn't bother swapping a 10 for a 44 unless you want 8 lugs.... they are about the same strength wise IMO. But a 14ff is definately a bullet proof axle and something that'll hold up to a beating! /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

Won't I destroy the 10 bolt with 38's? There will be no locker in the front for sure. How much cutting if i go 4" susp and 2" body?

What Steph was saying was that if you want something stronger than the 10 don't bother going with the 44 since their basically the same, go with the 60......

Check this out and I didn't need 6"+2"body next month the 2" body is coming back out! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif 38.5 TSL/SX's /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I run 38's with 4" of lift and got up close and personal with the sawzall. Mine flexes alot and everything fits just fine, matter of fact I think 39.5's are calling my name
