how narrow of a rim for 44 TSLs?

So, how narrow of a rim have you successfully mounted a 44 TSL on? 15" tall rims.

I haven't done it but lots of folks have mounted 44 boggers on 8.25 wide H1's. I have mounted 47's on H1's without issue.

But, what difference does the 15 vrs 16.5 play.

I would think the 15 would hold fine if the 16.5 does.

I know it dosent answer your exact question , but, I ran a set of 38x16-15 swampers on some stock chevy rallies 15x8's, IIRC, and had no issues.

I would say 15's would be better because there is more sidewall......kinda' like a 6" lift on a short wheelbase K5 (i.e. 16.5 with less sidewall) can cause rear driveshaft angle issues but it's no problem on a long bed pickup (i.e. 15 with more sidewall). I see no problems with going down 8" wide rims.
