While cleaning out an abandoned house today, I found these. How hard is it to find the OE speaker, and do they have any real value? Should I install them in my 70. It will mean moving my redneck radio over bout 2 inches to the left. Any comments would be appreciated.

To buy a replacement GM radio at some of the outlets is pretty expensive. Still fairly plentiful in some scrap yards. I would either hang onto the radio or install it in the dash so it looks factory and maybe they will take one look and not bother to check the ammo box. ;)

Some shows that rate on how original a vehicle is might appreciate those being installed.

Anyway I would just hang onto them. Someday somebody will want them!

radio maybe, those speakers either use em as a magnet or target practice

Those old radios look kinda neat , and can pull in AM stations from afar . Hook it up and run it stand alone .

They can even be converted to shortwave so you can chill out some nights and listen to cool stuff .

All the while still having the better radio hooked up and hidden ;)

I am going to do that to my Chevelle , leave factory radio spot with shaft radio , and get a flip face in the console I'm gonna make :D

I sent the payment via PAYPAL. Go ahead and send to my address now.
If I find another, you will be the first to know. Just curious, does anyone make these speakers and grills anymore?? I think I will install it just for grins, gotta find an antenna splitter so both radios will work.

some cars use the same speakers

do some yard shopping

the AM pushbuttons are common, most dont work anymore but now and then ya find one that does

i just save the knobs and junk them

i save all 67-72 dash choke headlamp wiper and radio knobs and related parts, i have a whole ton of this stuff, including some of the unique small 67 ribbed ones,
standard ones, CST/Custom/Cheyenne bright metal center ones, etc,.

i snag them from yards, abandoned trucks, whatever,

for years now

when i got my 81-c-10 back not too long ago, i forgot i had a 67 small ribbed headlamp knob installed in it, so theres another one of thos ei have in my collection heh
