. Leaning the seat back a few degrees should also give you some headspace.Pretty sure SCORE regs are 3" of headspace in any direction. Granted, thats considering you're wearing a helmet and neck restraints are recommended, but it gives you a reference point.
If you're too tight, lower your seat in to the tubes. One thing that has been brought up since TG's KOH wreck is that a lot of us mount our seats so were sitting up straight with good posture. You should actually be laying back in to the seat so that your hips take some of the force in a wreck instead of your nuts. Leaning the seat back a few degrees should also give you some headspace.
