How the hell do I re-attach the rear-view mirror?

Any auto parts store will sell the rear view window adhesive glue.

go buy some special glass glue designed for rear view mirrors, any hardware or auto parts store should have it...thats what I used on mine /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I have found the "Permatex" brand rear view adhesive is the best I've tried so far /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif. (says it is OEM compliant) Still holding with all the vibrations of my stereo and the road! /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

I've tried other ones and they don't hold and the mirror falls off in a short period of time /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif.

The company that installed my windshield one time said they'd do it for free. It only takes them a few minutes and a couple drops of glue and gives them a good reputation. Might call a few windshield places and see how much they'd charge, maybe you'll get lucky. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Mine popped off and took out a small chunk of glass with it. A bud told me to try some GE silicon adhesive. I thought oh yeah, that will not work. But he insisted, so I tried it and lo, it worked like a champ. A little flexible but has not let go after two years.
