How thick are axle tubes on a 14bff??

I have some cut off 14FF tubes in the garage and they are .375" thick (3/8").
The ones I cut are 3/8" as well. Axle was a '79 3/4-ton.
I've heard some of the later 14FFs with the finned housing may have thicker tubes in some applications.
They also appear thicker if you see one sheared off at the spindle. Then you're seeing the combined thickness of the spindle stub & tube.
