Sup all,

couple things, still needing to get my transmission out iv been putting it off because its a little intimidating for my self being a novice mechanic to be honest but im getting to my breaking point with it so im at it again, all i have left is this tranny dipstick and the throttle cable, that of which i never checked for issues when this malfunction first happened last winter.

does everything look normal here? also wonder what the best method would be to get it off so i can remove the tranny which is only being held in by the bolts, i have the xfer case and everything out, only the tranny left..

So what would be best way to get the cable off and the dipstick out which im sure its practically welding on from all the heat and years..

Also, if anyone wants to make 100 bucks i would love some help with this crap.. im going to get a used tranny from a pull and pay soon, its all i can afford so im hoping for the best if anyone around the denver arvada area wants to lend a hand id be up to tossing 100 bucks their way along with a hardy hand shake.

what are those plugs for? hahah

The top square in first pic is your ignition coil. Don't see how it relates to your thread.

The lower square is your TV cable for the tranny. Pull the little sheetmetal clip. Take the cable off the throttle linkage and then compress the plastic tabs to get the cable out of the bracket. Done.

The dipstick should just pull out. It may (not looking at mine) have an external bolt holding it on somewhere, but it is held into the tranny with an 0-ring. Nuthin to it.

Note: Do your homework on how to adjust TV cable before you get it all back together and drive it. It's easy to adjust, but get it wrong, and it'll kill your trans.

dipstick has a tab that one bell housing bolt goes through. once that's off it ill come right out . like the other post just remove the clip with a small flat head to release the cable from the linkage squeeze the tabs to get it out of the bracket. I'm in Littleton if you need a second pair of hands

As stated, the top outline is your coil. The 2 electrical plugs hook to the top of it in one first then the 2nd style. I can't remember which first, though.

thanks all this helps a lot, and earnett when i get the new tranny i probably would need some help getting it in, i have a tranny jack and all tools needed, i just might need help remember where everything goes and finagling it in, also with the tv cable im not 100% sure ill be able to get ti adjusted right on my own only because iv never done this before.
