I have a 86 3/4 ton Burb with a 8 leaf spring pack. While towing fire wood i sink the back end about 6 to 8 inches. I want to beef this thing up to handle the weight, what is the best way? Just bolt in a 1 ton setup, will it hold that much better? Can I add-a-leaf?

I added 3 leave's out of a dump truck. No it is'nt what you would call flexy, but it will haul a load.

5 leave's each side.

I have a 6 leaf rear pack in my K5, rides like a brick, doesn't axle wrap, and sags less than my dad's 2001 F250 with the same trailer load. Though I figured out my dad's is setup soft till it hits the overloads then it hauls. I would hate to drive my K5 without that rear spring pack. Body roll would be crazy! As it stands it scares every passenger I have but not me.

dug up this old thread cause I said how nice my rear spring pack was. I removed one leaf and flipped my overloads tonight /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. See how she is now.
