the top used to be white it is covered with mold and years of grime kind of gray color i have tried bleach simple green and alcohol both on the top and in the bottle then i tried dish soap any ideas thanks

Did you use some kinda scrub brush with bristles? A tooth brush would be to small & time consuming, but a dish scrub brush would do. Or you get a pressure washer for a quick deep clean.

I’m guessing that @ryoken has cleaned a dirty fiberglass boat or two in his time and would know of a nice product.

no, "miracle in a jar" per se... ;)

bristle brush, hot soapy water... or even a scuff pad... i use Spray 9, but dawn, etc are suitable substitutes... not a fan of simple green...

the biggest issue is it's dry.. it has gotten porous, and the stuff is down in there... that's where a pressure washer can help... after all that scrubbing, I usually do a bleach solution wet out... bleach and water in a sprayer, wet it out, and keep spraying it to keep it wet every 10, 15 minutes for as long as you can.. than do another soapy wash...

whatever is left at that point would need to be mechanically removed and/or refinished...

i had this issue and they sell a whell scrub brush(more like a sponge) i picked up at dollar store and hot soapy water and scrub away
