I need to connect the cable coming from the pedal to the one that equalizes them to each axle. It has a little metal connector hard to explain.

Is this a question or a statement? You have described it fairly well already.

If you do not have the metal bracket that allows you to attatch the two cables together then you should be able to find a setup on just about any GM pickup in a sprap yard.

Yeah just loosen the tension on the brake cable and use a pick to slide the cable forward and it will come right out.
