Soon the vehicle will be fuel injected which I wondering about getting an aftermarket fuel injection or stock from an late 1980s mid 1990s vehicle .

Which I want to know how to do it myself of the conversion

Aftermarket will adjust to the engine easier then factory

Unless the cam and compression are the same as the donor vehicle

Biggest thing is wiring things in the appropriate places and fashion so it works correctly and reliably

Really need to budget what you are willing to spend. It is plausible that buying a fuel injected 7.4L burb and swapping everything over will be more cost effective

Do you know if your engine is stock?
If it is, the cheapest and easiest option is stock parts.
You can get them as low as $200 and install in 1 day or 2

not to sound like a salesman but pay your 25 bucks due's here and get full site access . the injection section has a lot on aftermarket efi right now . and the engine swap section has some good late model info also .

some say holley sniper is good . . . some say fitech is good . . . some are now doing edelbrock pro-flo 4 system .

i can say from first hand the sniper is NOT bolt on and go . does require tuning work to be great . has its other problems i have talked about in the injection section of this site . my handheld controler is out for warranty work at under 50 miles from new install already .

if i had searched a bit more i would prob have done the edelbrock pro-flo 4 system for my needs i had from the start needing intake / dist / and efi all for a new engine .

cant say it to much search and read a lot before you pick a kit from the aftermarket . :deal:

If your motor is tight and all your hoses and gaskets are in check, Fitech is a good bet. I'd research all of the aftermarket EFI that @sweetk30 mentioned if I was you.
