how to fix my seatbelt?????

my seatbelt will not retract the belt up all the way so it was alwasys getting caught in the door when i would go to shut it, well i took the retractor out and was messing with it and now i think i broke it, it is all the way pulled out and will not automatically retract the belt at all.....is there any way to fix this? please help!!!!!

My experience was that if it doesn't work right, it's broken, and putting one back together is probably harder than anything else you can do on one of these trucks.

My advice would be to search the for sale forum or wrecking yards for a new one.

Sorry. BTDT, I won't even bother trying to fix one in the future, thus I'm getting good working spares while I still can.

When mine broke I drove to the junkyard and picked up another one for $10

I wouldn't even bother trying to fix a seatbelt. You've got the rest of your life to get it right. But you won't know if its right for sure until you need it to work.
I would just replace it. I got aftermarket ones for my burb.
