I just got a 73 blazer with 350\TH350\NP203 that has been sitting out in the open uncovered for the last two years. I got it from a co-worker who stopped driving it due to fuel costs. At the time he had just bought a newer Toyota 4Runner and just parked the blazer.
To make a long story short, the engine is stuck. I pulled all the plugs and found a bit of rust on the plug from the No. 4 cylinder. Otherwise, all the plugs looked good, like the engine ran well when it wa sparked. I sprayed some WD-40 in all the cylinders and then put a few squirts of motor oil in each cylinder the next day and put the plugs back in. It has been sitting like this for the past two weeks. I tried to turn the engine with a wrench on the balancer bolt, and tried turning the flex plate, but there is not much leverage available. Anyone have any suggestions on chemicals or techniques I should try to get this engine broke free?
Thanks.....

but then again who cares as long as it works
I am so amazed that it was actually quiet, there was no smoke, and it had good oil pressure. I expected some valvetrain noise or something. Then I got really brave and tried the transmission(Fluid was full, red, and unburnt) Drove it with no insurance or plates
to the neighboring subdivision and back. To my continued amazement......the tranny worked great. No sloppy shifts at all, and all three gears were there!
....) , plugs, wires and a wee bit of time with the Qjet.
