well, one of my swampers has a horrible flat spot in it. actually, it comes "out" of the tire...it's not truely round, which i hread is a common problem with swampers. the local shops said they can't true it up and shave it perfectly round. is there any other way to do this??? or will swamper do anything about it. i can actually spin the tire by hand while it's up in the air and i can noticably see the spot in question. this is after they've been warmed up for about 20miles or so also, in 100degree weather. im almost ready to buy anotehr one and keep this as a spare...but it seems like a waste for a spare. if i move the tire to the back would it ride anybetter since there's less weight there??? thanks guys!

You can try moving it to the back that might help a bit. depends on how bad the tire is. Also are you sure it's not your rim being bent?

My buddy bought a set of 38tsl...adn one ws BAD out of round. He ordered them through the Discount tire that i work at, and they took it back and exchanged it...worth a try right?

Aren't these tires almost new? I'd see about trying to get the company to exchange it.

didnt you have one helluva time getting your tires anyways? that sucks really bad man.

exchange it. we swaped out not 1 but 2 46" mickeys for a tire deal we had. then it rode smoth at highway speeds.

Ive had swampers do that before, if you drive it like that it will get worse and come apart, I had one nearly beat my bedside off, so no it cant be fixed and i wouldnt drive on it either, swampers can be warranteed out for those defects, if you know anybody that works at a tire store or have a freindly shop they can get it exchanged for you. it's definately out of round. if i jack it up off the ground about a half an inch or so and spin the tire, part of the tire(about a one foot long section) will hit the ground and stop the tire, so it bulges out quite a bit. and yeah man...getting these tires here was absolute hell.

if you can have another local distributor maybe warranty the tire and dismount it to see if the inner liner possibly came apart. i dont see why even if you didnt buy the tire they wouldnt warranty that junk tire.

throw that thing in the back if your gonna keep it, both my back tires are so screwed up no amount of weight will ballance them. and the whole truck dips when going under 10mph when that flat spot comes to the bttom
