How to ID my diff.

How can I ID my rear and front diff.s I have a 76 Blazer.I want to get some gaskets and need to know what diffs I have.The rear has 12 bolts on the cover plate and the front has 10. I bought a gasket for the front but its not correct.The other option that was given is for a 10 bolt Dana.Is there a easy way to ID them ? Should I post a picture ?

You 'should' have a D44 front and 12 bolt rear.

Could always use RTV/gasket maker instead of buying the actual gasket, probably cheaper. my .02 .

i use no gasket and black rtv. works like a charm, just be sure to get both the surfaces as dry as possible.

I also use black, but I get it from work. It's made by Toyota (F.I.P.G.)
