SMP,
Here's some pictures of 203's and 205's.

Your profile states you have a 72, so I imagine you're not interested in 208's and 241's. If you are, then check them out, they should have a circular ID tag on them. I think the earlier t-cases had the tag too, but mine and other 203/205's I've seen no longer had them.

i have a ? about this site it says that a 203 has the speedo on the driverside and the 205 has it on the passinger side. ok why dose my 205 have the speedo on the drivers side? and yes i do know 4 sure that it is a 205 and not a 203

Mudhog,
Are you totally sure? You're looking at it from the back forward, right? Just asking 'cause I've got a 203 in my rig and a 205 sitting on my garage floor, and if I remember correctly, they've got the speedo cables set up just like the page says. I'll double check tonight, but I'm certain the results will be the same.

Speedo cables can come either way on the 205, haven't figured out the ryhme or reason yet, but there is probably a rough year split. The one in my K5 came from a '72 and is on the driver's side.

I was currently looking for some other sites but I couldn't find any, and low and behold Stephen comes up with the answer. I guess I would have been confused too, if my 205 hadn't matched the site I referenced. Sorry to doubt you guys, I'm just sure of what I have, so I didn't leave any margin for variance.
