how to install turnsignal bezels??

....I cant seem to figure out how to install the turn signal bezel I know it goes behind the grille but cant seem to figure it out.

i think when i took my grill off, they were bolted to the grill, not the core support.

on the 87(88 on k5s, burbans, & 1 ton) and earlier(not sure how early it goes, im thinkin like 83-84 era) grilles, they are attached to the grille.

i always wondered this myself, dont see very many 83-up silverados, like 95% of the 83-ups here are all base model/less than silverado and are large single headlight fronts, and they all have the parking lamps that bolt to rad support under the headlights

see lots of 81 82 silverados though,,

They attach to the back of the grille itself. But the problem is that the studs they attach to are just plastic and the studs are too easily broken when removing the light housings.
