how to lower front?

for a cheap solution, you can just cut your front coils (use a cutting wheel, hacksaw, or chop saw, not a torch), but it throws off the alignment. So, your tires wear out fast and uneven. Drop Spindles with a matched pair of springs are the way to get low the right way.

There are companies that make special control arms to work with the other lowering components so you can lay frame with a set of air bags. That is really gonna cost, though.

I did the cutting thing to my 2wd dually awhile back, be careful though how much you cut, I made the mistake way back in my earlier years and cut like a coil and a half off an old car to try to bring the front down just a touch, ended up having to install coil spring spacers to raise it back up.

For the dually, I only cut about 3/4 of a coil off, and placed it in the bucket to fit securely, you'll see once you get in there, but it dropped it down about 2 inches or so, then with the 2" drop spindles, I had it sitting where I wanted it....

then traded the truck for a winch :doah:

well, My alignment is off already, Bad camber wear.
so I was just curious, how cheap it would be to lower the front before I get an alignment done. Still sitting on factory tire size, 235 75 15
