I have a home made trailer that is wide and it has a pop up camper axle under it now and needs to be replaced due to being bent.

What is the correct way to measure for axle? it has the brake drum style with lug nut/threads together like German cars. Do have it on jack stands as we speak and wheels are off.

Thanks guys!

spring pad center to center .

spring leaf width .

hub face to hub face . aka - where wheels set on the hub/drum face .

and axle under leaf or over leaf .

then you can figure out were you want to buy one . get parts and build one your self . if you just want plug/play most big truck parts supply places can order them from dexter or Rockwell the 2 big name brands .

how bent is it ? some have a arc bent in to them to act like a spring when loaded so it dosnt bend the axle .

and I had one of that style years ago . the trailer frame work was light boxed tube . went to redo the deck and the inside of the tubing was rusted so bad it was ready to fall apart . so check your frame over good before spending big money on axle .

No will get some better pics the axle is over the leafs. Thanks Sweet I got some measurements but will get rest tomorrow when wife feels better.
