I'm tired of bashing my front clip on the trail so it's time to narrow it. Does anyone have any good pics or advice before I get started?

I found this pic:

It's really close to what I want to do and it's even the same body style. Does anyone have anymore pics of this rig?

Thanks

What are you a NOOB???:p:

That's Sandman's rig. you can look in the BB foruma nd find more pics of his rig there. Jason has someon his website too. And Bowties rig is the same and you can see his pics here.

I'll come over and cut that beast up for you.:D

definitely sandman. Sweet rig. Anyone remember how much he narrowed the front? Im gonna do mine relatively soon.. just wondering how much he chopped.

9.5 inches off each side. I am working on mine right now. I went more than that and even more in the rear:D Just so you know before you get started it is a PITA if you don't have good tools to work with. I do have good tools and it is really time consuming.

yeah, I prolly won't do quite that much... I'm thinking 8" but we'll see how it goes. AFA "good tools"... what kinda $pendy tools you using? In exchange for beer I can prolly get access to a plasma cutter... I already have a welder and by the time I do the narrowing, I'll have my bender up and running too. I plan on running jeep stainless hood hinges, pins up front and to skin the fenders purdy good. Not sure how much I'll skin the hood, I don't want to weaken it tooo much. I dunno, I might skin it to hell and then Line-X it to make it a bit more regid and corrosion resistant. I hate rust.

Reminds me of a fat lady with a little head :haha: You can now get wedged in about four feet further in a tight spot. :D

Okay then show what your doing with UAV!!!!

I just got done narrowing mine, 8" off of each side. Basically the radiator plus the headlights (pics are in my sig). I would reccomend doing a bit of fender reinforcement so the radiator won't move as easy.

I am throwing the light bezels back on, and I am going to eventually do a hood (the pre 81 front end is a pain to narrow and keep the headlights/hood blazerishh). It is awsome to wheel, but now I have to re-learn.
