I'm installing a carpet kit in my '75 Jimmy. I've never see it with carpet, so I don't really know what the portion that goes over the rear pan should look like. After getting the carpet kit aligned with the grooves and humps of the floor, I seem to have nearly 5" of excess carpet that i can either cut off or tuck under the roll bar and glue down. What do I do with it? BTW: ACC Carpet kit with Jute backing can be had from RockAuto for $114 plus shipping.

In case anybody was wondering what the Coverlay door panels look like, here they are installed.

I am not installing carpet in the bed portion of the truck as I have had everything Rhinolined from the tailgate to the firewall. Anyone here with an early 73-75 K5/Jimmy that only has carpet in the cab? If so, would you share pics of how the carpet sits in your truck?

I would run a piece off ss like they run at the back of the bed to hold it down and separate the 2 areas... maybe even that actual trim if it fit decent...

Thanks! Its a single stage paint job in Toyota's FJ Cruiser Army Green. Paint code 2KD

Originally there was a piece of metal trim across that corner, where the bedfloor meets the cab, similar to the one at the tailgate end of the bed. This would cover that junction. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of them being available in the aftermarket and they're specific to the 73-77 Blazer body, so they're prolly unobtanium.

Thanks @dremu, Its looking pretty difficult to find that piece. I'll likely have to fabricate my own piece out of strip aluminum or stainless.
