i have a 1984 chevy blazer 4x4 350, it has a 4in suspension lift and a 2in body lift. i want to remove just the body life, what are the procedures for this? and will i need any new parts? any help will be apprecaited

I would think it's the exact reversal of putting it on. You will need to put stock mounts back on. Maybe new hardware.

The original mounts should still be there, the body lift pucks go on top of them. You will need a floor jack, some blocks of wood, and whatever size socket the body mount bolts take (3/4"?). Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get new hardware too. I believe you will have to remove the front bumper also, maybe the rear too. Loosen all the bolts, jack up the body and remove the lift pucks. lower the body and install bolt. Work your way around the truck untill you have all of them removed. Then go through and tighten down the bolts. You might have to readjust the transmission/transfer case linkage. If you disconect the linkage before you start...adjust as nesasary to re connect.

How big of a body lift?

Check things like the steering, fan shroud, trans/throttle linkage and bumper brackets for modifications.

You'll need to buy new bolts too, the ones that are in there will be too long.

also it would be better to do 1 side at a time you mite have to loosen the other side but its easy you will have to have shorter bolts I would just find me a kit some where on replace bushings and all

Might as well get poly body mounts while your at it. Get ready to probably chop a hole in the floor when that stupid square bolt breaks loose too...

Dont you have to pull the gas tank to get to the rear two?

I didn't pull the tank when I replaced my mounts, so he shouldn't have to when removing the lift.
