Ok I'm trying to remove the whole dash on the K5, I've got the pad off and all the bolts I can find out but its still in there. Seems the windshield seal is holding it in now. Is the dash glued to the firewall or will I ruin the seal trying to beat the dash out? I don't care about the dash its going to the scrap yard I just want it gone but don't want to ruin the windshield.

If I remember correctly, they are spot welded to the fire wall and the sides. You'll have to crawl around under there a bit and make sure you can get to the welds.

I think it is tack welded at the window seam.

Beat me to it /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif at least I was right.

hmm, its not welded to the sides, guess I will break out the sawzall and cut it off up by the windshield.

It's spot welded at the windshield seam.... some also have body adheasive there also.. depends on what they were doing at that time...... But all I'vve seen have been spot welded....
