I was wondering if someone could tell me how to replace them? I have the door panel out and now I do not see any easy way to access the bolts. Am I missing something? any help appreciated.

You take off a screw or two from under the mirror and slide that cover up over the post ,then you'll see 3 bolts that hold the mirror to the door..

yeh should have a philips head screw in the bottom of the upside down triangle looking piece that is on the door itself. Take it out, and then the cover will come out at the bottom (to clear the tab the screw goes into), and then slide up the shaft that the mirror itself is on. Be careful, the edges of that cover are kinda sharp and will slice you open if your not careful.

Oh and you will see 1 or 2 other bolt heads (besides the 3 that hold it to the door), those adjust the tension on the mirror head. So if your new ones move in while driivng down the interstate (mine did) you tighten those 1 or two up a little and it will hold the mirror in place more securely.

Should really be a torx screw on the underside...but I guess it's like tail lights. They leave the factory with torx screws, but before long they get lost and get replaced with a more common phillips head screw.

Reminds me i need to replace a tail light bulb...

Better do it NOW Rene!...before a cop spoys ya with one burned out bu;b..my ypinger beother has a 2007 (or newer??) Toyota Coeolla and his tail lights weren't working, and though he'd already scheduled an appointment to get them fixed,a cop pulled him over and gave him a "fix it"ticket --

-he had to go traffic court and contest it--judge cismissed the charges after he paid a 35 dollar "court cost" fine--wpuld have been 80 bucks if he had not contested it!--Cops here are really raking in the dough now that city coffers are being hit hard by the poor economy---just wish they would nail more tailgaters and speeders and jetks who cut in front of you and then go 25 mph,or never use directionals...
