went mudding stalled in a mud puddle starter was in water, it wasnt fun but it started and pulled right out but my question is how do you seal the starter so it doesn't get wet?

Please help this rookie out of the mud. haha:thumb:

good luck .

water can get in many places you cant seal . the gear area in the nose . even with good dust cover on tranny in that area still cant seal it.

might be best to get aftermarket that can be sealed better .

mine did the same thing the first time wheeling, i bought a mini starter the next day, never had a problem again.

Sorry i cant be any help on sealing one. But i can point in your a good direction. My buddies K5 would do the same thing any time we got down into the swamp. So he purchased one of these several months ago and has never had a problem. There cheap, rebuildable, and very small. Hope this helps.

Yah the mini starters seem to hold up better alot.

Dielectric grease on all the connections helps too.
