How would you deal with a deadbeat seller?

Feel for ya....

Man that's too bad...

I just had a deal that I was thinking I was gonna get screwed on... Bought 2 sets of rockwells, 2 sets of rims, and a few small parts from a fellow in Virginia... He tried unsuccessfully to ship them for two months. But this guy was totally rightous about it, borrowed a truck, rented a trailer, and drove them all the way down here to florida. Now that's honoring a deal!

Hope you get your dough.

I want the 10 minutes back I just spent reading that thread.... :( Nothing like Jerry Springer on the CK5 'board. :haha: ( )

Good luck to ya man.... I've been fortunate to have never been in a bad deal. I can only imagine what it must feel like. Remember, you've got A LOT of friends on the 'board here, so if ya need, just ask someone.

I saw this and told Shawn , since he has no regular internet access now .

I am just an innocent bystander , who was a nice guy , and now has all these other peoples trucks in my yard .

That truck is in my yard , but those doors aren't on it :(

Booooooooo. I can't believe you said that.

Spearchucker isn't responsible for your financial problems, you are. The reason he calls you repeatedly is because you screwed him and took 250.00 of his hard earned dollars. Stop blaming him for your screw-up.

You owe him. Be the stand up guy we think you are and give his money back. Make 25.00 payments a month if you have too.

ADDY: Nice recovery.

You deserve praise for accepting responsibility and making good on the doors.

If someone took your $250 and a year later said they will call you when they can pay you back, do you really think that would fly well with you? You should be more then happy to answer the phone each time he calls, that would show you are willing to work with him, but by saying don't call me I'll call you is kind of like saying your not gonna get your money because something will always come up.

:haha: Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Well, I'm gonna jump in this and get in the middle of it. May as well as I have nothing to lose and everything to gain by helping a member to collect his funds after getting the shaft.

You need to quit coming up with excuses and suck it up and be a man. Pay your debts one way or another. Get another credit card. Get a small loan. Steal from a gas station as I don't care if you get caught and thrown in jail, just make sure you pay off your debts without lame excuses.

If you seriously cannot pay the $250 back, give something else of equal or more value that you can ship unlike those doors. Give something as a "collateral" until you can pay the full amount in full.

Don't be a dick and say "flame on". Leave that quote to Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four and just STFU. Be a man, not a girl. :surepal: :surepal: :surepal:

as for not answering the phone, I dont think I would care to deal with someone calling 20 plus times per day and I have nothing new to say. I have your #, when I do have 250.00 I shall inform you of it.

Jesus Christ! :eek1: You're a ****in' a$$hole! MudFrog is right, you'd better be happy to answer his phone calls 20 times a day! You're the one who has to make up the 'wrong-doing' to him, not the other way around. When you're so SEVERELY at fault, you don't get to make the rules....you don't get to "inform" the other guy when you're ready to give him HIS money back! You're damn lucky he hasn't pressed charges, because it seems very obvious you're not in any rush to give him back his $250.

Agreed. Couldn't have said it better myself.

No sh*t!

Spearchucker: If it were me, his ass would have been on Judge Judy 6 months ago. You're very patient..... too patient. You really need to file a small claims suit before your Statute of Limitations kicks in and you're out of time. Also, if you sent a Postal money order via US Mail, then Supersize is committing mail fraud.... He needs some phone calls from someone other than you. Here's a compalint form right through the USPS: https://www.usps.com/postalinspectors/fraud/MailFraudComplaint.htm

I had a deadbeat client who didnt pay me $550 for his website in 8 months. It was one excuse after another after another. I finally got sick of it and filed asmall claims suit against him. I had the cash in my hands less than 24 hours after he was served.

Best of luck.

Hi I'm Doug Lewellen reminding you, " Don't take the law into your own hands, you take them to court. The Peoples' Court."

After reading all this, I don't see why it should have taken Supersize a year to either ship the doors or refund the money. He should have sent the doors as soon as he recieved payment, no excuses. I think he should pay you interest on the money.

He should never offered to ship the doors if he wasn't going to be able to complete the transaction.

Even if, or when he repays you, I think he should be banned from this site. One year is way too long to give mercy.
