how would you do this?

thanks for the offer. i won't be up there tho. my dad and i don't talk much, and usually i'm the one making all the effort and put out all the money for visits - so i'm not putting any real emphasis on getting up there any time soon. casters are pretty cheap at HF, anyway. I picked some up there a while back that were 500#ers for about 5 bux each or so. definitely don't need something that beefy this time... but i might for kicks anyway. :D

Ask the owner if they mind if put down some of that garage floor paint. Stuff is pretty cheap at Lowes or Home depot. It will help protect the owners investment and give you a way of covering the patch work in the concrete when you move out.

i was thinking about doing that floor paint stuff. definitely going to go hydro tho, too.

my manual jd2 bender is mounted to the front of my trailer. I can take it anywhere to bend and I leave the stand there and just unbolt the 2 large bolts and put bender in a larger rubbermade type bin when not used.

hmmmm.... if i had a place to store a trailer, this would be a great route to go. i would really like to have a trailer too... maybe the solution is for me to buy my own house! :D i would like that solution best!! then i could own a trailer and i could also mount a bender anywhere i wanted.

colby, buy a 5 gallon bucket, put a square tube in it, fill with concrete and burry it in the ground a couple feet. When you need the bender simply slide it in the hole, works great.

when you move, dig it out

that sounds like a pretty decent option, actually. a 5 gallon bucket won't turn in the ground?

You could try looking for a square bucket or put it in one of those rectangular plastic or rubber maid totes

ah that would be an option too, here out ground i hard as hell, for you a bucket a little larger may be needed! Either way I think its a n ice concealed way thats cheap and easy.

i like it. i think i'll go that route soon, instead of doing the hydraulic conversion. put my money to use elsewhere for the time being! :D

I know this post is old, but...
the harbor freight air/hydro is worth the 60 bucks, SO WORTH IT. All the other options still result in awkward mounting spots-
trailer mount, done it, ended up dragging the trailer side to side while bending tube
hitch mount, done it, limited tube length/orientation options for bending

Did the HF hydro conversion, never looked back. Now I can wheel the bender/stand wherever I want when it's not needed, pull it out, hook up the air line, and bend away.
Let me know if you need a HF coupon :)

I had an idea too a ling time ago about a recevier hitch mount. Basically have 2 legs that come up about 6 feet from the truck recevier hitch then the stand coming up off there. You stand between bender/mount/legs and the truck to run the lever and the tube bends away from truck so it doesn't interfeer.
