Hey Guys,

I am going to do a manual switch for the HPCA and high idle solenoids. I know there is a temp switch that activates the solenoids when the engine temp is below ~80°F. Is this switch normally open or normally closed? Is there a relay in the system or does the switch carry the current.

Thanks
Fred

All you have to do it provide power to one side of a switch, or take the existing wire and wire it into a switch then the solenoids on the other side of it, switch on, you have high idle and advance, switch off you have no high idle or advance. When temp is below the HPCA switch's switching temp, it is a closed circuit, when the temperature rises, the switch breaks the circuit. Sorry if this reply is overly wordy, I'm tired and can't seem to get my brain to function correctly, hope I stated it clearly enough :)
