Anybody had any experience with this crate engine? Thinking of using this as a model to build my 383 roller cam with TPI. How do you think this would work in a short bed 2WD with 700R4?

What's the price difference between that and the ZZ383?
And yes, is would be a very nice set up!
Why don't you just get a Ram Jet 350 and be done with it?
You're going to spend more money building it the other way anyway.

I have one in my k5 now. I really like it. It's plenty torquey down low and thru midrange. Kind of flattens out at higher rpm's due to the very mild cam.
I'm thinking about changing the cam and putting it in my swb stepside c10 in front of a 700 with 3.73 gears. Maybe eventually go to some multiport injection setup.
Think it'll make for a neat little street truck.
