My 72' blazer's DS D44 hub assembly needs to be replaced. The outer wheel bearing race has all kinds of slop and its because of the hub housing, not the race. For the life of me, I cannot find one locally.

Anyway, will the later 73-91 D44 1/2 ton hub/rotor assemblies work on this? Do they take the same wheel bearings and seals too? I need something quick, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Scotty

the only difference is "big bearing" vs "small bearing" (assuming your 72 is disk brakes like it should be) so, at absolute worse, you will need the spindles too.

edit: Dont get hubs from a 10bolt (79 up) unless you plan to replace the spindles too, D44's can be found up to like 81 or so.

Well, after doing the research, it turns out all 71-77 are the same. Small bearing spindles. So, I think I am just going to ditch the small bearing stuff for the larger stuff anyway. Pic-n-pull here I come.............
