1969 c10 with steel wheels, everytime I drive it I lose a hubcap. No grease is on them. So how do I keep the hub caps from falling off.

One fell off yesterday and I didn't notice. I then drove around the neighborhood today for an hour until I found it. They are used hub caps of varying usage and dents. They should "stick" to those lips on the wheels but....

sometimes hub caps come off from the wheel flexing to much. Look them over, check for cracks, broken welds on center section to rim. Then the hub caps the rolled inner lip might be deformed, in need of reshaping. Some carefully placed duct tape can tighten up loose fitting hub caps

The wheels are new with like 100 miles on them. Hub caps are ancient

I'll try to figure out how make the hubcaps fit tighter

If the wheels are new, I would be suspicious of incorrect forming of the retention areas. Is it just one wheel, or do several/all lose hubcaps?
