Has anyone ever seen a hub like this? It’s on an 83 k10 Burb that obviously someone swapped 3/4 tons into. Has me scratching my head.

Looks like a selectro to me
That style is normally on external hub axles, but they made them for internal hubs as well. A traditional style locking hub will go right in place.
selectro hub . . but few brands had there names on them .
pull wheel and center cap . side body you grab with hand to turn there will be a phillips screw . remove it and the dial comes off and then remove guts like most others .
there not as strong as reg style if BIG motor or tires are on them .

Whoever added those center caps kinda made it a pain to turn them…
must of been a mall crawler or pavement queen
I had those on my 76 k5.
Much easier to turn in mud or snow.
Mine were internal lock
