Hub - refinishing

I'm replacing the rotors on the front and since I'll be taking the hub off do I need to "refinish" it? Paint it? Or just clean it up?

i painted mine after sanding em a little but i didnt use high heat paint. my hubs got hot after driving 14 hours
(fixing to do it again)

You can clean and repaint the hub (keep in mind you’ll only see the “snout”). I’d focus on repacking the bearings with good, high temp grease and new seals. Don’t forget about the little bearing inside the back of the spindle.

Need to? No. But it definitely improves the look if you clean it and repaint.
