Hub socket, 1/2 VS. 3/4

I need to buy a hub socket but I was wondering if a 3/4 ton hub socket will work with 1/2 ton stuff or visa versa.

yep, same axle on 3/4 and 1/2 ton

are you talking just the front axle being 3/4 ton or 1/2 ton?

sorry it sounds confusing, I have a 14bff and the hub nuts have 6 notches in them but I dont know what the front 10b has, so it would be good if I could just buy one socket that fits both axles but I am not sure if they will work or which one to buy. Sorry for the confusion

nope, you need 1 socket for each axle, the front has 4 notches and its a smaller diameter
