hub socket?

i am in need of the hub socket with the pins that fits the 10 bolt front axle... to get at the bearings. the one they have at autozone is not the correct unit, and homey there drew a blank as to where to find one..... thanks for your response!

there is a guy who sells them on Ebay they usually go for about 7.50 + shipping. Just do a search and you'll find em.

Get a 4-pin symetrical. The nut is a 6 pin off-centered, but with the 4-pin you can line then up with no problem. I got one for $12.50 form a 4x4 shop up here in Ft. Collins. Napa wanted $45.99 for the same part.

I have three different sockets. One to fit the D44, one for the D60, and one for the 14FF. I got all three from Snap-On Tools and paid like $35.00 for each socket. Talk about "taking it up the butt, dry" when you only pay for the name!!!

I got a Lisle brand from Pep Boys. I think Northern Auto Parts sells em cheaper though, plus it's mail order (I think their website is their name) so no running around.

I got both of mine from Autozone for $10. Try calling a different Autozone. They probably had one but the moron behind the counter probably thought you were talking about a oil filter and looking for it under the windshield wiper section for a 69 VW.
