I bought some MileMarker hubs from 4WParts, but am probably going to return them for some Warn premiums. The MM hubs I got, have a part no. for a 1/2 ton K5. I was really specific about the axle I have and the vehicle it came out of, I really just didn't check before I left the store.

Question: Although the vehicle is an 82 K5 1/2 ton, my front axle is an 8lug D44 from a '77 K20. I should be getting hubs for the axle year, right?

If so, are these 10 or 19 spline?

Both the 77 D44 and the 82 10 bolt front would use the 19 spline internal hubs.

1/2 ton stub shafts are 19 spline. As long as the front axle has the same hub (internal or external) as the axle you are swapping the hubs for they should fit.

Hubs are not year specific really. Just hub style specific for our trucks.

Okay, so I should take off one of the hubs and count the splines? I just wanted to know if there was an easy answer instead of pulling off one of the hubs.

Thanks

You question has been answered directly, without any "maybe" - your easy answer has already been given. :surepal:
