i was just wondering if there was a special name for the socket that is used to tighten my hubs cuz one of them is loose and i wanna buy the socket so i can fix it asap thanks

As far as I know its just called a 4-point hub spanner. When you go into the auto parts store, just ask for a front hub socket for you axle and they should set ya straight /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
 
Lisle Tools calls theirs a "4wd Bearing Lock-Nut Tool"

I have the combo 4 pin/6 pin which works for 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, and 1 ton GM axles. I paid around $20 for it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
