Humm i was just thinking ..insurance?

You are correct that the vehicle has to be stock. "Regular" policies exclude coverage for engine mods, suspension mods, lift kits, drivetrain mods, etc. Read the fine print - it's all in there. These crooks will write the policy and collect your premiums, but when you need the coverage, the adjuster will look at the vehicle and say "Oh, it sits 2" higher than stock, you get nothing." I searched for exceptions and found none, other than specialty insurance. I think yours is pretty much a stock resto, so you're probably OK, but you probably want to talk to some of the actual adjusters from the company you are looking at.
