Ok i have a drw d 60 and the matching d70 axle. What do i need to make them work on a single wheel pickup? Do stock hummer wheels work ? and do i need spacers? Also what is the best place to buy them from? And i will be using these for a off road on road pickup do i need to have beadlocks or can i go without them?

i have done a search and all i can find is a little confusing :confused::confused:

THanks guys :bow::bow::bow::bow:

With the drw axles you can bolt those hummer wheels right up, no spacers needed. As for beadlocks, they are beadlocks as long as you use the inserts that go inside the wheel. As for the best place to buy em, I don't know. I am also looking for a set right now for my brother.

So I can run them without the beadlocks? So they are like normal rims?

thanks :bow::bow:

The DRW axles will fit under your truck with little modification. If your truck's frame is a 10 or 20, you will need to relocate the rear spring perches on the D70 to fit the wider 10/20 frame.

And yes, H1 beadlocks fit on the DRW axles with 0 modification:

And also, if you went less rear hub stick-out and/or a wider rear track, you can swap the D70 hubs with 14 bolt hubs.

RuffStuff Specialties even has a bolt-on disc brake conversion for the D70HD/14BC&C (this won't work if you replace the hubs with 14B hubs)

No, you have to run the inserts in the wheels to have them work. They're 3-peice rims: Back half of the rim, front half of the rim, and the center insert

Thanks

What im thinking is im going to buy a 4 door 1 ton 4x4 dually. Make it single wheel and chop the box to make a short bed. can i run any tire with the beadlocks? and how are they for highway, daily driving and off road ?

Thanks

The wheels are heavy as hell, and hard to balance with a big tire. Because of that you will probably run into death wobble, to there are several fixes. I solved mine, and gained a serious upgrade with Hydro Assist.

Any tire *should* fit it, so long as it's not too wide. The wheels are 16.5x7.X so you don't want a very wide tire. I'm running 38.5x14.5 on the H1's and they fit fine, however I wouldn't want to go much wider.

Thats not true if you just bolt them together with out the insert they will work just like a regular 16.5" rim. How do I know this? I ran my 12 bolts like this until my inserts got here(damn usa6x6 took over a month to ship after charging my card).

Did you have any issues with them during your wait? IS there anyone else besides usa6x6 to get the rims from ?
thanks
tim

I didnt get the wheels there just the inserts. They have a really bad reputation for taking forever, but they are one of the only places that sell the inserts. I think stazworks might sell inserts too, not sure though. As for where to find the wheels, ebay usually has a couple, or you could get lucky in the classifieds on here, or really lucky on craigslist.

Ahh yes, good point! It just won't act as a beadlock without the insert. Thanks for correcting me.
