When I am driving I am hearing a humming noise that I think is coming from the transfer case. The noise is constant whether I shift into neutral or a different gear. I pulled the fill plug and the fluid came pouring out like it was way over filled. Isn't there suppose to be a gasket between the tranny and T case? Anyone else have a similar problem like this?

Thanks,
Ray

i bet your tranny fluid is low now, there is a seal in the tcase to keep the fluid seperate. pull the tcase and replace the seal.

I pulled the transfer case and fixed the seal problem, but I still have the humming noise. Also, the pitch of the noise changes as my speed changes. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Thanks,
Ray

Re: Humming 208

I bet its humming because it doesn't know the words. Did you check your Ujoints?
